I have some backups of a Windows Server 2008R2 machine running on a Dell server. Image backups of the C drive were done by selecting the option to "Backup only system required partitions".

I did a test restore of the image backup on a Hyper-V host by restoring the backup to a Hyper-V VHD Fixed file. The new server VM would not boot, it would simply bluescreen as soon as the Windows logo would appear. I tried System restore, safe mode, nothing worked. Changed the number of virtual processors, RAM, ect. What am I doing wrong?

Cloudberry shows the image backup and restore were both successful and I followed the guide on how to restore to Hyper-V as seen on this page https://www.msp360.com/resources/blog/how-to-perform-physical-to-virtual-restores/

I suggest to write an email to regarding that and provide a screenshot/photo of the error message you see on BSOD.
