We have written some software that is able to retrieve logs for backups and report that back to a web server. The issue is that our code queries logs using Event ID's. I see that when Cloudberry Writes to an Event Log it always logs an Event ID of 0. Is this something that could be changed?

Currently it's always "0", but the events themselves are in different categories: "success" status will be in "information" category and "fail" will be in "Error".

Changes here are on the medium-term roadmap. I have added your name to the list of customers requesting Event ID changes and you'll be notified once those changes make it into the product.

@David Glad to hear it. Thanks!

    Any update on this?

Triggering on Event ID 0 is not helpful since Cloudberry is not the only service using Event ID 0.

Looks like changes are targeted for the 6.4 release. I don't have a release date at this time. I'll update once I have a better idea of the date.
