  • All Backups Stuck in Running Mode
Ah, that makes more sense haha. I am going to re-run the jobs today and if they fail again I will do as you suggested. Thank you!
  • All Backups Stuck in Running Mode
Looks like I am now having this issue... all backups stuck and transfer speed is missing in action and time left is N/A.

This isn't managed backups though... why would something on Cloudberry's servers affect our backups?
  • Wasabi 90 day retention billing
I'd suggest looking at Backblaze b2 storage, they don't have the 90-day billing for files. You pay for what you use and that's it.
  • Any hope to fix this bug in the next version of Windows Server Ultimate?
Hey Matt, Looks like this is actually working in the latest version of 5.9 Ultimate! I will still wait to re-backup everything until I can verify it's working in 6.0 since I will likely also move to a cheaper storage provider, but this is incredible!
  • Any hope to fix this bug in the next version of Windows Server Ultimate?
The plan will complete, but with any affected files not backed up. It's a pretty significant amount of files (at least a few terabytes worth), so that's why I had to switch to the Mac version until it gets resolved. I suppose I could make note of all of the folders affected and skip those with the server version, then use the Mac version to do the rest, but I'd much rather have my backups in one location.
  • Any hope to fix this bug in the next version of Windows Server Ultimate?
Backing up certain Mac files on a PC fails with the above errors. It's been a known bug since at least May of last year. For now, I use the Mac desktop version, but it's not nearly as full-featured as the Windows Server edition is. I feel like I'm limping along until it gets fixed in the Server edition, but I will follow up with support using the diagnostics menu once version 6.1 is out if it's supposed to fix that!
  • Any hope to fix this bug in the next version of Windows Server Ultimate?
I don't see version 6 as being available. Will the next major release start at 6.1 or is a 6.0 release imminent with 6.1 to follow soon after?

Unfortunately, excluding the icon files doesn't seem to work. I'd love to have it ignore the icons and just back the files up!
  • CloudBerry Backup Ultimate 5.9?
Checking in again on this since it's been a few months. Any update?
  • CloudBerry Backup Ultimate 5.9?
Any chance this will be fixed soon? I'd love to start using Ultimate again. I miss it!
  • CloudBerry Backup Ultimate 5.9?

Are you using CloudBerry Backup Ultimate to test? This happens from both the Server 2012 network share and from our Synology NAS'. When it fails it skips the folder or file and moves on to the next. Here is the error we get on any backups with Icon\r files:

2018-04-25 09:50:45,228 [Base] [1] ERROR - Failed to combine: 'FiretempLogos' and 'Icon
    '
2018-04-25 09:50:45,229 [Base] [1] ERROR - Error on list directory
    System.ArgumentException
Illegal characters in path: 13. Position: 4. Path: 'Icon
    '
    at vG.A(String )
    at vG.B(String , String )
    at vc.A(String , String , String , Boolean , Boolean , SearchOption )

I'm happy to send you logs or do a remote session to show you as well. I'd much prefer to use Ultimate over the desktop Mac version.
  • CloudBerry Backup Ultimate 5.9?
Thanks - I will for now purchase the Mac desktop version and hope that the Backup Ultimate version gets fixed at some point (we bought that version already). I'm happy to help be a tester if you need in the future.
  • CloudBerry Backup Ultimate 5.9?
We have a Windows Server file share as well as two Synology NAS units that both PC and Mac users to store files on. With Cloudberry Backup Ultimate, it skips the vast majority of files touched by Macs because of the invisible Icon/r files. I went ahead and did a trial of the Mac desktop CloudBerry backup and it's able to backup all files.
  • CloudBerry Backup Ultimate 5.9?
That is correct, it's a known issue. Thanks Julia!

It's too bad the Mac and Ultimate backups can't see each other. I wouldn't hesitate to use the Mac one for now, but I don't want to re-backup 30TBs of data if I can avoid it!
